We make custom size futons and cushions for bench seats, chair cushions, couch cushions, window seats, truck sleepers, RV couches and beds, tiny house futons, custom home furnishings and more.
Our custom options allow you to specify size, thickness, and combination of wool and cotton filling. You can get exactly what you need; the right size, shape and thickness for your situation. We can make custom futons or cushions 6”, 8” or 10” thick; up to 84” in length, and up to 70” in width.
Shape: square or rectangular only. Square corners only.
Custom Futon Pricing:
Custom size futons cost more because:
- Our standard futons are made to a specific formula. Custom size futons and cushions do not fit into our standard futon formulas.
- We cut and sew the individual case to the requested custom size.
- We cut the cotton and wool batting from the standard size that is closest to requested custom size. There is often a lot of scrap that cannot be used, or reused.
- Our tufting jigs, that are used to hold the cotton and wool batting together, are made to be used on our standard futons. Custom sizes require that we rearrange the tufting jigs up to 3 times per row of tufting.
- Most futons have 7 – 9 rows of tufting.
The above procedures for our custom futons cost more in labor and materials.

Custom size futons or cushions can usually be delivered to you in 3 – 4 weeks. Due to the nature of handcrafting, sizes may vary slightly. We strive to be as close as possible to the requested size. Finished size may be +/- 1 inch.
